Horner and his wife Geri showed solidarity in Bahrain in the midst of ‘compulsive behavior’ against Horner last year

Former Second Team Baas Franz Tost is one of the names that are linked to the replacement of Horner
After a difficult spell on a personal level, it comes to Horner, accused in 2024 by a female employee of ‘compulsive behavior’, accusations that he has always denied.
In an internal war it was assumed that the Austrian side of the company led by Mark Mateschitz, the son of the founder of the Energy Drink Company Dietrich, wanted Horner out. The Englishman was seen as trying to grab too much strength in the aftermath of Dietrich’s death in 2022. The Verstappens were inclined to this camp.
Horner, however, maintained the support of the Thai end of the company, colleague Red Bull founder of Dietrich, Chalerm Yoovidhya. He remained 51 percent co-owner of the wider company, in contrast to his F1 derivative, Red Bull GmbH.
According to OE24Red Bull has already discussed potential successors, such as former Alpine Baas Oliver Oakes, who has only recently left his role there.
Likewise, Franz Tost – who led the second team of Red Bull in the net for many years – is considered in consideration when a shakeup takes place in the middle of the season.
It is interesting that the departure of Tost from the junior team came in the midst of collisions with Horner, after he had left Formula 1 after 18 years in the sport with Toro Rosso and later Alpha Tauri.
During his time in this role, Tost collaborated with future champions Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel, as well as Daniel Ricciardo.
