THERE were no TikTok beauty tutorials in the ’90s, when supermodel Cindy Crawford was the ultimate It girl.
So the 58-year-old bravely looked back on the time and shared the lip liner trick that ‘everyone’ was doing back then – and the budget-friendly colour they used.

Cindy revealed the trick with the retro version To temptwho posted the video on TikTok.
She said that “everyone” did the same makeup trick in the ’90s with Mac’s Spice lip liner.
However, she wanted to use the color Amaretto from her friend Terri’s Very Terri collection to refresh the look.
Cindy pursed her lips as she demonstrated how to best apply a lip liner.
“A lip pencil is really good because you can correct imperfections with it,” she said.
She over-painted one side of her lips to create a more balanced pout, revealing that her daughter is also a fan of over-painted lips.
She said it’s great to wear a lipstick that matches her skin tone because she never leaves her lunch without some visible makeup on.
“I think a neutral lipstick is very ’90s-inspired, especially with a dramatic look,” she said.
Cindy used a Charlotte Tilbury product on her lips, followed by Tarte’s Juicy Lip Balm in the shade Maracuja.
She was very enthusiastic about the importance of hydrated lips.
“A dry lip can look really cool, especially for a photo shoot or on the runway, but in real life it doesn’t feel nice,” she said.
