NEW DELHI: Nagamangalaa town in Karnataka’s Mandya district saw tensions rise late on Wednesday night as clashes broke out between two groups during the Ganpati Visarjan procession.
The collisions were caused when stones were thrown at the procession, news agency PTI reported.
In response to the unrest, authorities have enforced Article 144 in the affected area to maintain law and order, which prohibits gatherings of four or more people in public places.
