Cleaning pro says her £3.85 trick from Poundland is great for removing limescale

IT is the habit of many people to clean the shower.

But Lynsey, who describes herself as ‘Clean of Queen’, has revealed why the £2.90 Viakal spray should be replaced with a cheaper and much more effective product.

“A lot of people would come into a store like this and buy this product, Viakal, which is good for limescale, but I’ll be honest with you, it’s not something I would use on my shower wall,” she said in a video on her TikTok page.

Lynsey suggests using a dishwashing brush that you can fill instead, such as the £2 Dishmatic brush.

“What I like about them is that you can fill them with whatever product you want,” she explains.

She then picked up the 750ml bottle of Astonish white vinegar spray, which costs just £1.25, and said she would mix it with washing up liquid.

“I put half the vinegar in a pan and mixed it with dish soap,” she said.

“This is the Easy Washing Up Liquid in Lemon, 60p, at Poundland.

“These two products together make a fantastic shower cleaner.”

To use, rub it over the entire screen with the Dishmatic, leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse.

Another option is to use a combination of lemon and baking soda.

“Take a juicy lemon, cut it in half and sprinkle it with some baking soda,” says Lynsey.

“Cut it in half, sprinkle it on top and make your own scouring pad.

“Scrub it all well again, and let it sit for 15 minutes.

“If you don’t make the product work, it will never work!”

After it has been left on for 15 minutes, rinse it off and wipe it dry with a cloth.

“I keep getting asked how to clean a shower screen that is full of limescale and limescale,” Lynsey captioned the video.

“I’ll show you what I would buy and use to make it look like new again. You don’t need any harsh, toxic products.”
