CMF Phone 1 Confirmed to Feature 50MP Rear Camera

CMF Phone 1 is launching in India on July 8, alongside CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2. The company has been teasing the design elements and specifications of the upcoming smartphone in the past few days. Earlier, it was rumored that the phone will come with a removable back plate. Now, the company has revealed the design of the camera module on the back and confirmed the details of the primary camera. Notably, the handset is the first from CMF.

CMF Phone 1 camera design, sensor details

According to an official X-post, the CMF Phone 1 will come equipped with what appears to be a dual-camera setup on the back. The teaser post shows the module placed in a vertical, pill-shaped module at the top-left corner of the panel. The two sensors in separate circular units are placed vertically within the module.

This rear camera module of the CMF Phone 1 is raised and has a different color than the rest of the panel.

Interestingly, an earlier teaser suggested that the handset could come with a removable backplate. It’s not yet clear whether this will be for superficial design purposes only or will help in terms of repairability with access to the battery and other internals.

The one mentioned before after also mentions that the CMF Phone 1 will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony sensor, paired with an f/1.8 lens. It is also confirmed to get Ultra XDR support.

Previous Official Social Media to inform to have confirmed The CMF Phone 1 comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery, which is said to offer up to two days of battery life and support for up to 22 hours of non-stop YouTube streaming.

The CMF Phone is also confirmed to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G SoC paired with 8GB of RAM, virtually expandable by up to 8GB. It is also set to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.

The phone was earlier reported to be launched with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera sensor and an IP52-rated build. It is likely to be priced under Rs. 20,000 in India. It will go on sale in the country through Flipkart.
