The upcoming smartphone from Nothing’s sub-brand CMF was made official by the company on June 6, but the launch date was not revealed. This development comes amid another leak that hinted at information regarding the smartphone’s chipset and expandable storage.

According to a after on X (formerly Twitter) by tipster Yogesh Brar, the retail price of the base variant of the CMF Phone 1 could be Rs. 19,999. However, another report speculates that the actual price could be slightly lower than the reportedly printed price on the box. Without discounts, it could reportedly retail for Rs. 18,000, while discounts could bring the price down to as much as Rs. 17,000.

If the rumors come true, the CMF Phone 1 would be the cheapest smartphone offered in India by the Carl Pei-led startup. It would be priced around Rs 4,000 less than the Nothing Phone 2a.

It is also speculated to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of optics, the handset is tipped to feature a dual camera system with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It could also feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

According to the leaks, the CMF Phone 1 could feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for wired fast charging up to 33W.
