Congress’ ‘bael buddhi’ stab in the back at PM Modi in response to his ‘balak buddhi’ remark against Rahul Gandhi | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: A direct dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress launched’bael buddhi‘ campaign on social media. Contradicting PMs ‘balak buddhi‘ comment about Congress leader Rahul Gandhithe party shared several posts on social media calling Prime Minister Modi a ‘bael buddhi’ [dumb].
In a series of posts on X, Congress party shared several memes on Prime Minister Modi, calling him a ‘bael buddhi’.
“Do you know who bael buddhi is?” the party asked in one of the messages. “The one who talks nonsense,” it added.
To “prove” this, the party shared parts of his remarks claiming that he has a photographic memory. Using snippets of a few other gaffes, Congress launched this counterattack.
This comes days after Prime Minister Modi attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Parliament, calling him ‘balak buddhi’ [childlike mind].
On July 2, Prime Minister Modi mocked Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha by repeatedly referring to the Leader of the Opposition as a child, without mentioning his name, and using the sarcastic remark ‘balak budhi’.
“We saw childish behaviour in the Lok Sabha yesterday,” Prime Minister Modi said in a dig at Rahul’s speech in the Lok Sabha.
“The entire Congress ecosystem is busy these days trying to please a child (Bachhe ka mann behlane ka kaam chal raha hai),” PM Modi said, accusing the Opposition leader of indulging in drama to gain sympathy. To mock Rahul Gandhi over his claims of being targeted and attacked by the government, PM Modi narrated the story of a child crying to gain sympathy without revealing the mistakes he had committed.
“The House witnessed the cries of a person with ‘balak buddhi (childish behaviour)’,” PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister then came up with another story to ridicule the Congress’ performance in the Lok Sabha elections.
“I remember a story about a boy who boasted of 99 marks and showed everyone how many marks he had got. When people heard 99, they praised him and boosted his confidence. Then his teacher came and said, ‘He didn’t get 99 out of 100, he got 99 out of 543.’ Who is going to explain to this foolish boy that he has set a world record for failure?” PM Modi said.
