‘Congress is weak in every state Assembly seat…’: Haryana CM on upcoming state Assembly elections | India News – Times of India

KARNAL: Regarding the upcoming Haryana state assembly elections, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday claimed that Congress will be able to win every seat in the state Assembly elections as the Bharatiya Janata Party has a strong presence in all the 90 state assembly seats in the state.
“Congress is weak in every assembly. Congress has nothing to talk about… I don’t think Congress will be able to win a seat in the assembly elections because BJP is very strong in all 90 assembly seats,” Saini told reporters.
He further said that the people of Haryana will make Prime Minister Modi stronger.
“Prime Minister Modi has taken oath for the third time and the people of Haryana will make Prime Minister Modi stronger and form a government with a large number of members for the third time,” he added.
Earlier on July 6, the Union Minister said Manohar Lal Khattar held a meeting with state leaders and BJP workers on Saturday over preparations for the 2024 State Assembly Elections in Haryana.
After the meeting, the former Haryana chief minister told reporters in Karnal: “…Preparations for the Vidhan Sabha elections are in full swing. Party workers are enthusiastic. The lies that Congress is telling will not work in the next elections. The tactics they (Congress) used in the Lok Sabha elections will not work anymore…”
About the senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visit to Hathras and not Tamil Nadu, the senior BJP leader said, “I have heard his statements in the Lok Sabha. I am surprised that such words come out of his mouth. Is the entire Hindu society violent? The people of the country will give him a befitting reply (when people vote in the state Assembly elections).”
In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the BJP and Congress won 5 seats each in the state. The BJP registered 46.11 percent vote share, while the Congress registered 43.67 percent vote share and its alliance partner, the Aam Admi Party, registered 3.94 percent vote share.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won all ten seats in the state.
The Haryana State Assembly elections will be held this year for 90 seats.
