‘Congress shows blank pages in Constitution’: PM Modi takes aim at Opposition, applauds BJP’s vision for Maharashtra | India News – Times of India
Prime Minister Modi held up a ‘red book’ that read ‘the Constitution of India’ and ‘blank pages inside’. He alleged that this symbolized Congress’s contempt for the values upheld by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. “The entire country is shocked by this political ploy of the Congress,” he said, adding that the party’s call to restore Article 370 in Kashmir reveals an “unfortunate and misplaced affection” for the repealed law.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized that BJP and the Mahayuti alliance hold the key to Maharashtra’s future, citing a slogan that is gaining traction: “BJP-Mahayuti ahe, tar gati ahe. Maharashtraachi pragati ahe” (Only BJP-Mahayuti will ensure the rapid progress of Maharashtra). He further underlined the country’s collective goal of achieving a “developed India”, asserting that the BJP and its allies were the only serious contenders for realizing this vision.
Recalling the recent success of the BJP in the Assembly elections in Haryana, Prime Minister Modi predicted a similar outcome for Maharashtra. Additionally, he lauded the Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana, a program that empowers women across the state, and reiterated his commitment to strengthening Nari Shakti (female power).
As the meeting ended, Prime Minister Modi’s focus on progress and empowerment resonated with supporters, further intensifying the BJP’s push for a stronghold in Maharashtra.
