‘Congress troll army attacked my wife’: Devendra Fadnavis responds to Kanhaiya Kumar’s ‘Insta reels’ comment | India News – Times of India
“In the last five years, when Congress could not do anything against me in the investigations they were conducting, they started personal attacks against me and its troll army started abusing my wife in the Instagram images she took,” Fadnavis told ANI .
“If any civilized person saw the trolls against my wife, they would be very embarrassed. I told my wife that since we are in politics, we have to be patient and the truth can be disturbing, but cannot be defeated,” he added. .
At a recent campaign rally in Nagpur, Kanhaiya Kumar criticized Devendra Fadnavis’ comments in which he called the upcoming elections a ‘Dharamyudh’. The Congress leader argued that the responsibility of ‘saving religion’ cannot be reduced to mere political rhetoric, especially when the deputy prime minister’s wife is busy making ‘Instagram videos’.
“Deputy Prime Minister Devendra Fadnavis said this is a ‘Dharamyudh’. This is a good thing. It is our Dharam to protect democracy and the Constitution for which I am standing and delivering a speech today. Whichever leader speaks about saving religion, You only have to ask one thing from the leader who gives you a speech about saving religion. Do you want your son or daughter to join us in this fight to save religion?” he asked.
“Will this happen that the responsibility of saving religion will fall on us and your children will study in the universities of Oxford Cambridge. If we want to save religion, let us save it together. It cannot be so that we save the religion and the deputy chief.” The minister’s wife takes images on Instagram. It can’t be like that. Everyone will save religion together,” Kanhaiya added.
The BJP condemned Kumar’s comments, with spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla labeling Kanhaiya as a “supporter of Naxali Afzal Guru” and accusing him of disrespecting Marathi women by attacking Amruta Fadnavis.
