I spend a lot of time on airplanes, having taken hundreds of flights over the past eight years. And while I sometimes need to work on my laptop during flights, my favorite setup is to relax, stretch, and watch movies or TV shows using the in-flight entertainment system.

The headphones that airlines provide for long flights leave a lot to be desired. I used to travel with a set of wired headphones from Apple to solve this problem, but they were also cumbersome because I had to unplug them and plug them back in when the person next to me needed to use the bathroom.

I started searching online for a solution and eventually came across the following: AirFly Bluetooth AdapterThis pocket-sized dongle is so good that I almost never work on the plane anymore and can comfortably spend that time watching my favorite movies and series.

The AirFly Bluetooth Adapter is an audio transmitter and receiver that works with Apple, Bose, and other wireless headphones. Simply plug the gadget into the headphone jack on your airplane, bus, or train entertainment center and it will establish a Bluetooth connection. You can also connect up to two headphones to each adapter. I personally pair the AirFly with my AirPods Pro so I can use the noise-cancelling feature.

Watching entertainment with quality audio makes such a difference, and there’s no need to unplug when I’m in an aisle seat and someone in my row has to pass me. The AirFly Bluetooth Adapter fits easily in a pocket, a backpack, or a laptop bag, and it comes with a small carrying case. Because it’s lightweight, it won’t fall out of the headphone jack if it has to dangle.

Hang on, dongle: the AirFly Bluetooth adapter is light enough to hang from a headphone jack without having to be unplugged.

How do I pair the AirFly Bluetooth adapter?

I turned off Bluetooth on my phone so that my headphones don’t automatically try to connect to my phone when I take them out of my pocket to watch a show.

Using wireless headphones with in-flight entertainment has made traveling more comfortable. I can travel with this light, small device that allows me to watch entertainment without wires, and the sound is crystal clear. I have enjoyed using the AirFly Bluetooth Adapter and will continue to do so for years to come while traveling. Consider this device if you want to enjoy better in-flight entertainment on future trips.

Small enough to fit in your pocket, but handy enough to actually enjoy in-flight entertainment the next time you travel. The Airfly Bluetooth adapter creates a connection point from the 3.5mm headphone jack of any entertainment system. Simply plug in, pair with your headphones and enjoy wireless listening.
