Couple’s ‘aggressively American’ wedding cake and cake topper are branded ‘trashy’
The love one couple shows for their country is almost as strong as their love for each other.
Critics strongly opposed the custom wedding cake, saying it was too patriotic and “aggressively American.”

Reddit user SignificantBee6205 shared the failed wedding in a post.
“I don’t know this couple (thankfully), but we have mutual friends who showed me this photo. I couldn’t resist posting it here,” they said.
The four-tiered ensemble cake had a new theme on each layer.
The largest and bottom tier features an American flag design, with the usual stripes and stars.
The next layer contains the word “JEEP” in large white fondant letters.
Next comes a camouflage design, with the final layer being a few electrical outlets.
“The groom is an electrician and the bride loves her Jeep,” the Redditor explained.
“And… they like America and the general concept of camouflage, I guess?”
They urged viewers to pay attention to the finishing touches on this masterpiece cake.
“Zoom in on that topper too. My god,” they said, pointing to the bride and groom duo topper who were waving their guns.
Critics shared their opinions about the cake-tastrophe.
“Wtf with only 24 stars on the flag??? Is it just the red states or something?”, asked one commenter.
“This is the most aggressively American thing I’ve ever seen,” said another.
“Mr. and Mrs. Smith are referencing the cake topper,” said one viewer, noting the similarity to the popular film.

“Maybe because they’re standing back to back, and there seems to be a gun. Either way, it’s a weird and ugly cake.”
A cake maker added that she felt sorry for whoever had to make it.
“As a cake baker, I just say… a cake doesn’t have to reflect all these different aspects of your personality,” they said.
“Pick one! Ugh. Lol, but in the south these are the ‘wedding cakes’. We put the ugly groom’s cake in the corner and still have a beautiful wedding cake.
“I feel sorry for the baker. A well decorated cake in extremely bad taste.”
Another agreed, saying he too was confused about the design.
“That guy who put the electrical outlets on the first layer of the cake must have made his whole personality into an electrician,” they said.
“I get the (albeit tacky and predictable) theme of a big truck driver, armed and dressed in camouflage in a ‘Murican… but are there really any outlets?
“Not even with a cheap custom topper where she’s the outlet and he’s the plug? Lol, and where the hell is her career path cake layer?
“And couldn’t they have printed nice, clean images of some of the outlets, the Jeep logo, or the American flag, like they did for the camouflage? Why one layer?
“There’s so much to think about.”
