Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken about possible games this summer World Cup Club.
Ronaldo, 40, is currently playing for Al-Nassr who are not eligible for the tournament, but he is linked to a transfer gone to become a member of a club that participates.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino only fueled speculation when he told YouTuber Ishowspeed last month that there were conversations about Ronaldo with the newly excited competition.
Prior to play in Sunday Nation competition Final for Portugal against Spain, Ronaldo has now revealed that he did not expect to play at the Club World Cup.
“It is almost decided that I will not participate in the FIFA Club World Cup despite receiving many invitations and proposals,” Ronaldo told reporters.
“There have been conversations, contacts … But you have to think about the short, medium -sized and long term.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he will probably not play at the club World Cup

Speculation is mounted that Ronaldo Al-Nassr could leave to participate in a club that plays in the newly expanded tournament

Ronaldo has revealed that he had ‘many invitations’ to leave Al-Nassr
Ronaldo’s statement comes less than two weeks after he seemed to indicate that his time could come to Al-Nassr when he released a cryptic social media post after their last match of the season.
The X message was: ‘This chapter is over. The story? Still written. Thankful for everyone. ‘
He was then connected to a shock switch to Al-Nassr’s Saudi Pro League rivals, Al-Hilal, who will play in the club World Cup.
However, this step has not been released and it is clear that Ronaldo is currently considering a contract offer of £ 167 million a year to stay with Al-Nassr.
He joined the Saudi outfit in December 2022 after leaving Manchester United the last month after a public fall-out with Erik ten Hag.
The five-fold balloon d’Or winner can be scored 93 goals in 105 performances, but has not won a trophy since he moved to the Middle East.
However, he still represents Portugal and gets the chance to win more silverware for his country on Sunday evening.
And with the World Cup just a year away, Ronaldo has stated that he has no plans to hang his boots.
Speaking on Saturday, Ronaldo added: ‘My mentality is to live every day. I don’t have many more years to play … but I enjoy the moment.
‘Not a day is decided before my retirement. I feel happy, I am here to enjoy and continue. ‘
