Crystal Palace -Stars deliver, but will Wembley -Katertjes prevent midweek -Tugkeer?

Crystal Palace lifted their first major trophy in Wembley on Saturday after beating Manchester City with 1-0 in the FA Cup final.
And from the perspective of a dream team, the determining moment could not be better scripted.
Ebereechi Eze (£ 5.4 million) was comfortably the most popular recruit for Gameweek 36 and it was the 26-year-old who scored what turned out to be a historic winner in the 16th minute.
Palace’s No10 has now scored six goals in his last five outings, a fruitful spell that has yielded 59 points.
His cup-winning strike pushed him past the 300-point Mark-Hij is simply the fifth midfielder who achieved a triple century this season.
It was fitting Daniel Munoz (£ 5.4 million) who offered the assist for Eze at Wembley.
The Colombian wing-back has been an exceptional performer in 2024/25 and is now in first place among defenders with 299 points to his name.
Munoz has scored six goals, registered eight assists, contributed to 17 clean sheets and made no fewer than 144 tackles.
He played his role in keeping Pep Guardiola at a distance and eventually achieved 12 points for his 12th double digit of the campaign.
Eze and Munoz are the two most selected players of Palace in Dream Team, so their combined return of 22 points would have been warmly welcomed by many Gaffers.
Many dream team bosses would have supported the couple – whether people like Marc Guehi (£ 4 million), Jean -Philippe Mateta (£ 4 million) and Ismaila Sarr (£ 4.1 million) – because Oliver Glasner’s side has confirmed two to fulfill this game week, but how will it be after extensive celebrations?
It will certainly be interesting to see how the Eagles in the Middenweek are standing against Wolves.
The South Londoners will be guaranteed to end in the Premier League in the middle of the table, regardless of what happens from this point and it would therefore be no surprise if a few important players took care of well-deserved hangovers of the stands in Selhurst Park on Tuesday evening.
On the other hand, with the result largely irrelevant, Glasner can feel that his regulars deserve to be central to what could become a glorified victory round.
If the latter turns out to be true, Eze and Friends can even come across a few useful points.
Dean Henderson (£ 4.1 million) was the hero of Palace on the other side of the field, especially for his rescue of the fine of Omar Marmoush (£ 4.8 million).
The keeper of England called 12 points when everything was said and done and now third is among players in his position with 196 points.
With the risk of thinking too far, the victory in the FA Cup final means that the Eagles are participating in the Europa League of next season and the prospect of extra competitions for Eze, Munoz and the company have to put Dream Tubs on Hoge Alert.
But that is a conversation for a later date.
