Customer orders three of Argos’ discounted airers, but others say there’s a catch
IT’S one of the best ways to dry your clothes without using the dryer.
So it’s no surprise that shoppers are rushing to Argos to pick up a clothes rack that has been reduced to just £6, with one delighted woman even getting three ahead of her.
Dominique went to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share her finds, as she wrote: “If anyone is looking for a cheap clothes rack, Argos has this and a few others for half price”.
She then posted a screenshot showing that the Argos Home 20m Indoor Clothes Airer had been reduced from £26 to £12, and a 12m version reduced from £12 to just £6 as part of the company’s Black Friday sale shop.
“Oh, mine just broke, thank you!” one person wrote in the comments section.
To which Dominique replied: “No problem!
“I just ordered three because I always break them!”
“I wish I had seen this sooner!” another commented.
“Mine is broken and I need a new one, but all my local Argos are sold out.”
“This could be useful!” said a third.
While there were numerous buyers raving about the 20m air unit, with one writing: “I got the first one the last time it was on sale, fantastic drying rack.”
“I got the first one last year, it’s great!” said another.
But others were quick to admit they were left unimpressed after purchasing the 12m drying rack, which now costs just £6, and pointed out the benefit of the cheap deal.
“It’s small anyway, only my 6-year-old’s clothes fit on it!” wrote one.
“The £6 is useless,” agreed another.
“I bought two on sale last time, 2 for £15, and both broke easily.”
“The second one is shocking, not worth 50p let alone £6 lol!” a third persisted.
“We have the £6 one, honestly don’t waste your money.” someone else wrote.

“It’s being returned – it’s TINY!
“Probably okay for underwear, that’s about it.”
“Don’t bother with the 12m3 layer, it’s absolute rubbish,” another commented.
‘Don’t waste your money on this; always break,” someone else warned.
As another said: “I got the Argos and had to send it back, it collapsed!”
