‘Dan Da Dan’ is now streaming. Here’s when you can watch new episodes of the anime each week
With the fall anime season upon us, we can collectively sync our watchlists with all the newcomers, including Dandadan – also known as Dan Da Dan.
Prepare your puns about kintama and bananas for a story about love, aliens, ghosts, magic and weirdness. Produced by Science Saru and written by Yukinobu Tatsu, Dan Da Dan follows two main characters: high school students Momo and Okarun. Momo’s family line is full of mediums, so she believes in ghosts, but not aliens. When she meets the occult-loving Okarun, he reveals his belief in aliens and doubts about the existence of ghosts. They spar over their opposing views, but soon discover that they are both right when it comes to reality.
Momo taps into dormant superpowers and Okarun uses curse powers to combat paranormal threats attacking the world. The series’ voice cast includes Shion Wakayama as Momo, Natsuki Hanae as Okarun, Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo Granny, and Kazuya Nakai as Serpoian.
