Dandenong: Woman is hospitalized after being viciously attacked by two American bulldogs and a pit bull who had to be shot dead by police – while shirtless man is arrested at home
A woman is fighting for her life after being attacked by three dogs in a backyard.
Emergency services were called to a house on Ross Street in Dandenong, in Melbourne’s south-east, just before 10am on Thursday.
Police tried to break up the attack by using capsicum spray on the animals, but the dogs continued to maul the woman in her 20s and had to be shot dead.
The woman remains in a critical condition at Dandenong Hospital and police are investigating.
Meanwhile, a shirtless man was arrested at the property, but Victoria Police told Daily Mail Australia the arrest was not related to the dog attack. No further information was available.

The man was taken from the building in handcuffs
A neighbor who lives on the same street said there were a total of five dogs in the government building.
It is clear that the woman lives in the house with several others.
“I was just walking home and there was a lot of shouting and screaming,” the neighbor told Daily Mail Australia.
“Then the police came and all you heard was gunshots. I saw the lady being put in the ambulance and she was doing very badly.’
The neighbor said the woman appeared unconscious.
He claimed that the other dogs on the property are aggressive, adding that he often felt nervous when walking past the house with his own dog.
Photos taken by Seven News appear to show the bodies of the three dogs killed in the backyard.
The breeds of the dogs are believed to be two American bulldogs and a pit bull, Nine News reported.
Investigations continue.
