Bobby George has revealed that he holds one of his four amputated toes in a bottle of vodka behind the bar of his Essex men’s house with 18 bedrooms.

Eccentric ex-darts star George – One of the most recognizable figures of the sport – had four operations to remove four toes, two on each foot, because of a painful genetic malformation.

Three of them had to be thrown away, but he was allowed to keep it off the first 26 years ago-and stores it in his self-built George Hall house.

Writing in a new book – still here! The King of Bling – George, 79, stated: “Nobody believes me, or at least not, until they see me without my socks.

“Or when they come to my bar in George Hall and see the evidence for themselves.

“There is a kind of gene in my body that has ensured that the toes jump out of their connection and cross.

“It got so bad that I couldn’t get my shoes on.

“I couldn’t walk without checking my balance every step.

“On some days it was so painful that if I had had a sharp enough knife, I would have chopped them myself.

“There was nothing that could do the medical profession, so it became ‘surgery toot-to-to-to-footsie bye-bye’.

“The first was cut off in 1999 and it was actually a big relief when it was all over.

“I knew the surgeon, a guy named Phil, and he spoke to me through the procedure – something that is called a tulip operation.

“It was done under local anesthesia, so I could see him cut off.

“It didn’t hurt and when the act was ready, Phil showed me and I asked him if I could keep it.

“Phil presented it to me in a small pot, but said he couldn’t give me the right things – formaldehyde, maybe? – because it was toxic.

“But if I used vodka instead, it would keep it beautifully. So I took it home and put it in a vodka and now it has a permanent house behind the bar in George Hall.

“When someone comes to the house for a drink, I beat it out and ask them if they want a cocktail or a cocktoe?

“It is also meant that, over the years, if I have long been away from home and my wife, Marie, misses me, she can always suck my toe!

“However, removing one Tootsie was not enough, and in the end the procedure had to be repeated three more times, so I miss two toes on each foot.

“Unfortunately, none of the other surgeons was as mandatory as Phil and they would not let me remove the sawn -off figures.

“Losing four toes has not been as bad as it sounds, although when I go barefoot, I look like an alien.”
