Within minutes, the post is flooded with hundreds of likes and comments of praise about how amazing they all look.

“Are you glamorous sisters?” asks one admirer, or “Gorgeous cousins?” suggests another.

The three are in fact three generations of the same family and differ greatly in age.

Paula is 54, her daughter Apollonia is 24 and Paula’s mother, Jean Hirst, is 82. They are always complimented or asked about their youthful appearance.

Still, they say their regimen is simple: soap and water, cheap face cream and homemade potions.

Paula says: “People constantly mistake us for sisters or friends. They don’t believe we are three generations of the same family. We are always asked how we stay looking so good.

“They are even more shocked when they realize that there is an age difference of almost sixty years between my daughter and her grandmother.

“Everyone asks us what the secret is to our timeless looks. It’s simple: soap and water, face cream that costs about a fiver and cheap as chips kitchen cupboard beauty hack.”

Expensive products are out of the question for families who use very simple methods to get an even complexion.

Paula adds: “Old-fashioned skincare treatments are often the simplest. Many expensive products are based on them.

“My mother taught me to use a simple baby lotion that costs a few euros at the supermarket or Aldi to soothe irritated skin.”

The family’s favourite product is Oil of Olay, now called Beauty Fluid, which costs around £5.

“If I can’t buy it, I’ll stock up on a cheap alternative from Lidl or Aldi, which costs around £4,” adds Paula. “I even buy unopened bottles at flea markets.”

The women too proud themselves to stop wearing makeup, which they believe is also the secret to anti-aging.

Paula says: “My mother used to draw on her eyebrows and put on some lipstick, but she usually didn’t wear makeup when she was younger. I’m the same. I rarely wear makeup.

“People don’t realize that Apollonia doesn’t wear makeup in a lot of her photos either. As soon as she’s done with a shoot, she grabs the baby wipes in the car and takes it all off. We all have great skin.”

The trio also love Aldi's baby lotion to soothe irritated skin

The trio also swears by some easy, specific beauty tips for kitchen cabinets.

“I slice cucumbers or soak tea bags in ice-cold water if any of us have tired eyes,” says Paula.

“We all love a homemade body scrub with oatmeal, honey and coconut oil – it works fantastically.

“If we run out of hair conditioner, we use olive oil as an alternative. For a no-makeup day, we use a little Vaseline on our eyelids and brush a little eyeshadow over it. It creates a simple eye-pop.”

Grandmother of two Paula lives in shedSouth Yorks, with her husband Don, 64, a glazier, and two of their three children, daughter Apollonia and son Arista, 23.

Can a new treatment called ‘hair Botox’ help you de-frizz your locks? Beauty writer Charlotte Bitmead tried it out.

In her work, Paula followed her mother’s example: Jean was a nurse until she retired and went on to work for the NHS, where she worked in administration until 2021.

Now she is a so-called ‘Mommanger’ who takes care of the hugely successful international modelling and social media career of her daughter Apollonia.

Apollonia has amassed a following of over seven million people worldwide. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube And TikTok.

She flies around the world for over six months of the year, including the US, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia, for magazine photoshoots and collaborations with major brands including PLT, Boohoo, Zein, Fashion Nova and Ann Summers.

“Mom is my rock. She comes to shoots, often takes my photos, and helps me with my Tik Tok videos. She handles the negotiations and is amazing,” says Apollonia.

When Apollonia gets a delivery of sexy underwear or bikinis, it’s her mother who takes her pictures in the family’s backyard swimming swimming pool or the specially built photo studio at home.

She continues: “Some people say they would be embarrassed to pose in a skimpy bikini with their mother behind the camera. Not me.

“Mom knows my best side. She highlights my angles. She taught me to be proud of my body. She is proud of me. When I’m away, I talk to her at least ten times a day.”

Apollonia’s social media stardom is a family affair.

Even widowed Grandma Jean is getting in on the action, racking up tens of thousands of likes as she does outfit swapping videos and dances with her granddaughter.

Apollonia, who has her own modeling agency Apollonia’s Agency, says: “We raid each other’s closets. Grandma Jean comes by in a cool outfit.

“I’ll put on a favorite of mine and then we’ll switch and wear each other’s outfits. We’re the same size and I think she looks hotter than me in my dresses.”

Jean also keeps herself fit by walking, Paula enjoys swimming and Apollonia trains in the gym five days a week and also swims.

“Staying fit and drinking lots of water keeps me a size 38,” says Jean.

Paula adds: “Apollonia and I are always running around shooting and flying to different countries, so drinking gallons of water and only drinking on special occasions keeps us super healthy.”

Paula and Apollonia are proud of their curves and breasts: Paula has a 40EE, while Apollonia has a 32F breast.

Paula thanks her mother for the ‘genes’ and says: “Others are shocked when they realise that our breasts are our own – natural characteristics that we inherited from my mother,” she says.

The trio claim they have never had a plastic surgery or adjustments that, according to Paula, can directly lead to aging.

“None of us have ever Botoxfillers or surgery,” she explains. “I see so many girls who overdo it with injectables and look older than they are.

“Apollonia would never think of using them, and neither would I. Mom just shakes her head and says it’s crazy.

“We all get our her colored. Apollonia’s teeth are all natural and she uses a teeth whitener every now and then, but that’s it.

“We don’t diet. We all eat a little bit of what we like and don’t deny ourselves guilty pleasures like chocolate or desserts.

“The rest is genetics and joy. Laughing together helps us all stay young.”

Why You Don’t Have to Spend a Fortune on Skin Care

Mia Lyndon, beauty writer at Fabulous, says:

“I’ve tried and tested all kinds of skincare products, from designer brands to budget brands and everything in between.

“It’s easy to be seduced by shiny packaging, trendy names and bold claims, but the simpler, cheaper options are often the best out there.

“I swear by some brilliant, wallet-friendly skincare brands. CeraVe’s large, diverse skincare range has something for everyone and mainly costs less than £20 – I use the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and Moisturiser daily.

“And although the brand has only been around in the UK for a year, Bubble Skincare has already gained a cult following thanks to its affordable, teen-friendly skincare products, which range from mud masks to hydrating serums.

“Applying sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily is the best way to protect your skin from the elements and premature aging. I used to keep my sunscreen in my makeup bag, which meant I forgot to apply it on days I wasn’t wearing my face.

“But I now store it alongside my skincare products, meaning I use it right after my moisturizer. Sunscreen can be expensive, but there are plenty of good budget options.

“I’m currently loving the lightweight, luminous Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Fluid SPF 50.”

However, Paula admits that her daughter was once bullied for her gorgeous looks and that she never dreamed of becoming a superstar model and fashion queen.

Paula says: “When she was 15, she had a bigger bust than a lot of the older girls at school. She was bullied terribly. She was miserable.

“I took her to a studio to do a fun mother-daughter shoot and she loved it. The photographer suggested she do some modeling or beauty pageant work.

“She started doing teen competitions ten years ago and at the age of eighteen she was crowned World Teen Supermodel of England

Apollonia was soon asked to model and Paula helped her daughter build a following on social media.

Paula says: “Now she has her own modelling agency, millions of fans and followers and she works harder than anyone I know.

“She is a real homebody. When she is not traveling, she loves spending time with me and her grandma. We have girls’ lunches, spa days, and enjoy shopping together.”

The trio like the same stores, including Boohoo, M&S, Next And Zara.

Apollonia says: “Whoever says grandmas can’t wear boohoo or PLT is wrong.”

And even though the photos of the trio sometimes provoke hatred on social media, Paula refuses to let it bother her.

She adds: “People like to say we’re plastic surgery fans or fake. That’s just not true. They’re just jealous.”
