Dave Hughes and his wife Holly brave the cold as they go swimming with their children in Melbourne
Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes braved the cold on Sunday as he headed to the beach with his family for Father’s Day.
The cold temperatures in Melbourne didn’t stop the 53-year-old comedian from stripping down to shorts and going for a swim with his wife Holly and their children Rafferty (15), Sadie (13) and Tess (11).
The windy weather didn’t stop the Hughes family, who enjoyed spending some family time in the water.
Hughesy looked relaxed as he went for a swim in a pair of navy and white patterned boardshorts.
As he stepped out of the water, he wrapped a flashy blue towel around his waist, decorated with dachshunds.
Dave continued to show off his style with a pair of fashionable bone-colored Crocs, complete with an array of charms.
He completed his Father’s Day outfit with a Carlton AFL baseball cap.
His wife Holly opted for a leopard print swimsuit and changed into a Wrangler print T-shirt after the dip.

Dave seemed happy to be with his family, joking as they walked back to the car after their visit to the beach.
The family outing takes place after he burst into a tirade during a broadcast following an alleged rejection by Logies.
The comedian was a guest on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick last month, where he called the celebrities in attendance a bunch of “losers.”
Hughesy then went on a rampage when he declined the invitation, claiming he had organised the event four times and had now been overlooked.

In 2007 he officially presented the Logie Awards with Fifi Box and from 2016 to 2019 he provided the opening monologue at the Logies.
“I’ve enjoyed doing it in the past with the Logies… and look, I wasn’t invited on Sunday night. So I was just at home,” he said.
The comedian then started shouting that he hadn’t received an invitation.
“I hosted it four times in a row and no invite. No invite! Not even an invite! The amount of losers in that room…” the comical tirade continued.
‘I presented for twenty years in a row and didn’t even get an invitation!’

Presenter Brendan Fevola then tried to talk to Dave.
‘But you don’t have any programs on TV, so why would you be invited?’
Hughesy responded by saying that while he doesn’t host programs, he is a ubiquitous presence on television.
It’s been a year of mixed results for Dave, after his Hughesy, Ed & Erin 2DayFM morning show came to a sensational end last month due to declining ratings and ‘commitment issues’.
‘We have enjoyed our time together on 2DayFM Breakfast, but due to some of our families living in other cities, we cannot commit to 2025.
“It is with a heavy heart that we are stepping aside so that 2DayFM can find a team that can help them move forward with Breakfast,” Hughsey, Ed and Erin said in a statement.
“We are so grateful to Sydney for their support. We are incredibly proud of the fact that we have doubled our listenership in three years. We will miss every single one of them.”
