‘Devil May Cry’ Teaser Revealed for New Netflix Series Based on Video Game

The video game Devil May Cry is getting its own animated Netflix series and the streaming service revealed a teaser during Geeked Week on Thursday. The first season will contain eight episodes and premiere in April 2025.

The Devil May Cry video game series was published by Capcom. It focuses on demon hunter Dante, who fights to stop demons from invading Earth. His name is an allusion to Dante Alighieri’s 14th-century Italian narrative poem The Divine Comedy.

There was already an earlier Japanese anime series based on the series, which was released in 2007.

The video game series consists of Devil May Cry 5, which was released in 2019.
