Did Charli XCX Get a Fox Eye Facelift? As the Singer, 32, Hints at Plastic Surgery, We Ask Cosmetic Doctors to Reveal All
Charli XCX is arguably the British pop star of the moment, grabbing social media attention with her ‘brat summer’ trend, sparked by the release of her sixth studio album, Brat.
Yet it’s not just the 32-year-old’s music that’s catching fans’ attention, but also her new, frowned-up look.
Recent images showing the singer’s extra-defined eyebrows have sparked rumors on social media that the star, whose real name is Charlotte Aitchinson, has undergone cosmetic surgery.
In a post shared to Instagram over the weekend, social media user and injector Molly Bailey speculated that the singer may have undergone a “ponytail lift,” also known as a “fox-eye facelift.”
This is a non-surgical procedure in which dissolvable threads are placed under the skin’s surface and pulled tight to stretch the corners of the upper eyelids.

Social media user and injector Molly Bailey speculated in an Instagram post over the weekend that the singer may have had a “ponytail lift,” also known as a “fox-eye facelift.”
“Charli has spoken out about toxic treatments in the past and her glassy skin speaks for itself,” Molly Bailey wrote in her Instagram post, which has been liked 12,000 times.
‘What stands out most are her lifted brows and extra space on her upper lid. Probably the result of an endoscopic ponytail lift popular with young Hollywood, an upper eyelid lift or the less invasive brow threading plus a tox brow lift. It gives her the cat eye effect.’
Bailey also raised suspicions that Charli had a nose job early in life, as well as a “little” lip filler.
Charli XCX did not deny that she had undergone cosmetic procedures, posting on Instagram: ‘OMG I’m obsessed with this shit’.
Cosmetic surgeons have told MailOnline what treatment the singer underwent to create her new, more defined look.
Plastic surgeons admit she strategically applies her eyeliner to enhance and emphasize the lifted look, which could improve cosmetic procedures (left). But even with a fresh face, her eyes appear to have a lifted shape (right), as pictured above in 2024

‘Based on the most recent images, it is highly likely that Charli XCX has had a fox eye lift,’ Professor Ullas Raghavan, plastic surgeon at Pall Mall Medical, told MailOnline.
‘If you compare the latest photos to the earlier ones, you can see a noticeable elevation in the outer corners of her eyes, which wasn’t there before.
‘This type of lift is often achieved through a combination of surgical techniques and cosmetic treatments, such as threads or small incisions that lift the skin.’
He admits that she strategically applies her eyeliner to emphasize and accentuate her lifted look, which can enhance any cosmetic procedures.
“The overall effect makes her eyes look longer and more youthful, which is a common goal of the fox eye trend,” he said.
The fox-eye treatment, which costs up to £700, is performed by tilting the eyebrows upwards.
“There are several ways she could have achieved the fox eye look,” Professor Raghavan said.
‘It can be achieved through various cosmetic procedures, such as dissolvable threads, surgery or even injections of muscle relaxants.
‘The results of dissolvable threads usually last from several months to over a year, depending on the type of thread.’
Clinics claim that this non-invasive procedure takes only 30 minutes and that recovery time is minimal. There may be some mild swelling and bruising for up to two weeks.
While experts suspect the singer may have undergone a “fox eye” facelift, they also say a “lifted” look is possible with strategically placed Botox and fillers.

Experts say this defined look (photo 2024) can also be created through nonsurgical options such as Botox and strategically placed fillers
However, Professor Raghavan advises that people who want a more permanent look should consider surgery.
He said: ‘This may involve removing excess skin and fat from the eyelids, or surgically lifting and repositioning the outer corner of the eye.
Botox and strategically placed fillers could also contribute to the change, he says.
Botox relaxes the muscles that pull the eyebrows down, while fillers lift the eyebrow area and give you the shape you want.
‘These treatments usually last several months before a touch-up is needed.’

Cosmetic doctor Raja Intkhab of Derma Aesthetics London also agrees that Charli’s appearance could be the result of a lift.
He said: ‘Her eyes appear more defined and lifted, which could be the result of a ‘fox eye lift’, a procedure designed to lift and tighten the outer corners of the eyes for a more almond-shaped, youthful appearance.
“But it’s worth noting that there are nonsurgical alternatives that can achieve similar results, such as radiofrequency treatments that tighten sagging skin.”
The singer has previously been candid about some of her changes.
In January 2023, Charli shared on TikTok that she was hoping for a Grammy nomination, not-so-subtly hinting about anti-wrinkle injections.
She captioned the video: “I need more Botox before I can accept any awards.”
