‘Did She Give Birth to Batman’s Kids?’ People Ask After Mom Shares Her Children’s Names
The names of three children from one woman caused great surprise among online users.
They joked that the names seemed like they came straight out of a superhero comic book.
In a viral videoTikTok user Taylor (@taylorreskridge) shared some of the worst baby names she’s ever come across.
Taylor, who describes herself as the “crazy baby name lady,” regularly posts the most bizarre names she’s ever come across.
She shared a screenshot of a baby name announcement by an anonymous woman.
The mother of three said her one-month-old son is named Wrath.
Although this name may be shocking to most people, the baby will likely fit in well with his siblings.
The mother said his older sister, 19 months old, is named Fury.
In the meantime, she also has a four-year-old stepdaughter named Vengeance.
While Taylor questioned why the mother gave her children such unusual names, her followers didn’t hold back.
“Fury, Wrath, Vengence, did this woman give birth to Batman’s children?” one viewer asked.
“Anger, wrath and revenge are the love affairs in a dark fantasy YA,” said someone else.
“Okay but Fury, Wrath and Vengeance are actually kind of weird,” a third TikTok user joked.
“Wrath, Fury, and Vengeance are real names of real children. Which is funny, considering conspiracy theorists think EVERYTHING is a sign of the Four Horsemen unleashing the Apocalypse,” another person said.
“The fact that revenge is her STEP daughter makes it even crazier LMAO,” one viewer commented.
“Did she and her new husband bond over giving their kids crazy names and decide to continue the trend??? I need the lore.”
“Did she change her stepdaughter’s name to Vengeance or is that a coincidence?” another follower asked.
Are Unique Baby Names Worth It?
You may think that a unique name will make you stand out, but is it really?
Josie Griffiths, deputy editor of Fabulous, talks about the problems she had with her name as a child.
As a child, I wanted nothing more than a personalized keychain with my name on it.
But it wasn’t. The closest I could get were Rosie, Joseph (not so nice for such a little girl) and Joanne.
Josie is short for Josephine, a French first name, and I’ve been in my twenties without ever meeting anyone with the same first name.
When I try to introduce myself to people I get called all sorts of random names like Tracey and Stacey and it can be quite annoying.
Although I’ve met a few Josies in the past year (there are a few around my age), it’s still a much rarer name than most of my friends’ names.
Overall I don’t mind it, at least it’s not crude or spelled weird.
And that means I can get away with ‘doing a Cheryl’ and just calling myself Josie.
I’m getting married this year and some friends are shocked that I’m changing my last name. It’s not considered cool or feminist these days. I explain to them that I’m not that attached to Griffiths because I always just say ‘Hi, I’m Josie’ when I call a friend.
I like being unique and I will definitely try to achieve this when naming my own children.
You have to watch out for the crude names, so after nine years as a lifestyle journalist I will definitely avoid them.
“And then they wonder why their kids hate school and drop out as soon as they legally can,” one commentator said.
“As someone who grew up with an unusual name, don’t do this to children!! It’s cruel and borders on abuse,” another viewer wrote.
“These parents need to be arrested,” said one TikTok user.
“And that’s why countries have approved name lists,” someone else joked.
“Black Dagger Brotherhood was my first thought, but that CANNOT happen,” said one follower.
