It has a large field of view and advanced motion detection, plus all the usual notifications and handy two-way audio capabilities. Normally priced at $230, it’s not the cheapest offering, but ahead of Amazon’s Prime Day in October, the price is down dropped to just $150 — matching the lowest price we’ve ever seen: 35% off.
The Ring Battery Doorbell Pro features top-to-bottom HD video and 3D motion detection with both a bird’s-eye view zone and a bird’s-eye view feature. Package notifications let you know when a package has been delivered (additional subscription required) in a specific zone. It also works with Alexa and offers low-light vision that provides enhanced image sensors so you get a clear picture whether it’s day or night.

In his Ring Battery Doorbell Pro review, CNET security editor Tyler Lacoma found that the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro “is a master at keeping an eye on the front of your home, with excellent visual and audio clarity. Its incredible feature set offers a ton of customization options to work with and some of the best cloud video sharing options I’ve ever seen.”
While he noted that it will take newcomers some time to learn the app and that there are some issues with package detection, Lacoma found that the positives far outweighed the few negatives. And this was without the current $80 off taken into account.
