Sensay, a maker of AI-driven digital replicas From people, an AI-driven government has set up on a real island that it has bought it off the coast of the Philippines. Previously known as Cheron Island, it has been renamed Sensay Island.
The head of state (effective, the president) of Sensay Island is the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, one of the five good emperors of Rome, known for his love for Stoic philosophy and common sense. British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in wartime is the prime minister, while Sun Tzu, author of the Chinese strategic classic, The art of war, Takes the reins in the defense. Alexander Hamilton is the new Minister of Finance.
According to Sensay, “every AI replica is designed to emulate the personality, values and decision-making patterns of the historical figure that represents it, so that a style of administrative style is steeped in timeless wisdom and ethical principles.
To really imitate the character of these historical figures, every recreation is unique in literature, education, philosophies and speeches of the real counterparts they represent. “
How easily AI replicas from such an inexpensive periods and with such strong characters will be able to work together in the government can still be seen, because their contrasting values should definitely collide on points, not to mention today’s values.
The entire cupboard

Personally, I think Davinci was a wise choice for the Minister of Culture, and it is nice to see that Nikola Tesla is recognized as an innovation adviser, but I must say that I am a bit disappointed to see Queen Cleopatra nowhere in the mix.
Confucius also offers some challenges such as Minister of Education, given his unfamiliarity with modern technology, such as AI.
A real island
Sensay Island is indeed a real island off the coast of the Philippines. You can find it Google Maps. It has an area of approximately 3.4 km², consisting of beaches, rainforest and coral lagines.
There seems to be no infrastructure on the island of what we can see, so if you think of a visit, you must be aware that there is probably no WiFi.
Although an AI government feels like a publicity stunt, there are serious reasons why Sensay has created an AI island:
“Sensay wants to demonstrate that AI can be used in National Government to help the policy free from political partiality and bureaucratic delays, and with unprecedented transparency and participation,” says it.
A fly on the wall
According to Marisol Reyes, the (AI-driven) tourism manager for Sensay Island, with whom you can chat on websiteYou can visit the island whenever you want:
“Absolutely, you can visit our beautiful island! We are delighted to welcome visitors to experience this unique mix of advanced AI governance and traditional Filipino hospitality. Sensay Island is open to tourists who want to explore our pristine beaches, lively coral residence and are witnessing of history with our groundbreaking ARAAL.”
For those without the means to visit, the good news is that you can still participate. You can soon register as an e-resident of Sensay Island, so that you can propose a new policy for its AI-drive administration via an open-access platform:
“This will combine direct democracy with AI-reinforced decision-making,” says Sensay.
Dan Thomson, CEO and founder of Sensay, added: “This project shows Sensay’s dedication to push the boundaries of AI in a responsible direction. I hope that our approach will show public and world leaders that AI is a feasible and efficient way to develop and implement policy.”
Despite an AI-controlled civilization that led to (tried) human extinction in just about every big SCI-Fi film that I have viewed for the past 40 years, from Logan’s Run Unpleasant The TerminatorIt seems that people are still determined to try it.
But could AI actually offer a more balanced and healthy government than our chosen officials can? There is only one way to find out …
