Doctor shares simple trick that soothes migraines in minutes — using two items in your bathroom

A doctor went viral after revealing a simple method to relieve migraines — and it won’t cost you a fortune.

Dr. Jason Singh, a physician who shares his expert tips and knowledge with his 96,000 followers on TikTok, uses the “two towel method.”

“You need to take two rags or short towels,” he says in his video, which has been viewed by more than 8.1 million people.

‘One has to be cold, so hold it under cold water and the other under hot water.’

He then advises wringing them both out at the same time, before placing the cold cloth on your forehead and the warm cloth on your neck.

The doctor from Loudoun County, Virginia, USA, continued: ‘[This will] strengthen blood vessels and reduce inflammation.

While the warm cloth goes just behind your neck to improve blood flow and relax the muscles.

“Hold them on for about five to seven minutes at a time and watch your migraine go away naturally.”

Numerous studies have shown that hot and cold compresses are effective in reducing the intensity of headaches.

The cold temperature causes the blood vessels to constrict and reduces the sensation of pain.

Warm compresses, on the other hand, increase blood flow to the area, which can relax tense muscles and relieve tension headaches.

The heat can also have a calming effect, helping you relax and reduce stress.

While the technique may work for some people, it may not work for others. This is because migraines are caused by different reasons in different people.
