Doctors warn against using baby oil in the bedroom after Diddy’s sex trafficking scandal
Doctors are warning against taking baby oil into the bedroom as there are reports it was used as fuel for Diddy’s wild sex parties.
One of the sordid details that have emerged since the 54-year-old rapper’s arrest on sex charges is that he hosted sexual “freak offs” that reportedly lasted for days, including flying in sex workers.
Investigators have seized approximately “1,000 bottles” of baby oil, allegedly used as a lubricant for “elaborate and produced sex performances.”
Urologists told DailyMail.com that using baby oil during sex can lead to broken condoms, painful rashes and fatal infections.

Baby oil is generally used to soften the skin, especially in babies, but it can also help remove makeup and remove stains from surfaces.
It is usually made from mineral oil, a colorless and odorless byproduct of petroleum.
Although it can be used safely on the skin, experts warn against making it into a sexual lubricant.
Dr. David Shusterman, a urologist at Modern Urology in New York City, told DailyMail.com, “Using oil as a lubricant for certain activities is a big no.”
‘Oil can be super irritating to the tissues of your genitals. Using a lot or in large quantities can cause redness, itching and general discomfort.’
Additionally, baby oil has been shown to break down latex, which is found in about 80 percent of condoms.
In fact, research shows that within 60 seconds of applying baby oil to a condom, the condom fell over 90 percent less effective.
Dr. Kanwal Bawa, a sexual wellness doctor in Florida, told DailyMail.com: ‘Just as baby oil can break down condoms, sex toys made from rubber or silicone also break down faster when used with oil.’
“Not only does it make the toy more difficult to disinfect afterwards, it will also shorten its lifespan.”
Additionally, Dr. Lauren Streicher, associate professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University, said Women’s health that getting baby oil near the vagina can increase the risk of a yeast infection.
One study in the journal Obstetrics and GynaecologyFor example, he discovered that getting baby oil into the vagina helped colonize the yeast bacteria Candida albicans.
Although small amounts of this bacteria already live in the body, an overgrowth can lead to a yeast infection, which affects about three in four women at some point in their lives.
Dr. Bawa said: ‘The vagina has a very sensitive microbiome. Baby oil can disrupt the pH balance in the vagina and cause irritation and infection.”

Most fungal infections disappear after a course of antifungal medications such as creams and ointments.
But if the bacteria is not treated, it can develop into invasive candidiasis, a potentially life-threatening fungal infection that can spread to the bones, eyes, brain and heart.
The CDC estimates that invasive candidiasis kills about one in three patients.
Moreover, a Study from 2016 found that men who used baby oil as a lubricant during anal sex had a higher risk of developing rectal infections.
Experts also advise against taking baby oil. Although it is “minimally toxic” if ingested, Dr. Shusterman notes that it can lead to gastrointestinal problems “such as feeling sick, vomiting, or having diarrhea,” according to the National Capital Poison Center.
It can also lead to more serious consequences.
Dr. Eric Margolis, urologist and medical advisor to wellness brands Maskad and Revivv, told DailyMail.com that “the main risk” of taking baby oil is aspiration pneumonia,
This happens when food or another substance enters the lungs instead of the stomach.
Dr. Margolis said: ‘This can easily happen because of the chemical composition of baby oil, which makes it slippery and can be inhaled while swallowing.’
Aspiration pneumonia leads to shortness of breath, chest pain and extreme fatigue, which Dr. Margolis says should be treated as a medical emergency.
The condition leads to approximately 58,000 American deaths per year.
When it comes to choosing a safe lube, Dr. Bawa recommends a water-based product.
“Water-based lubricants are much safer to use with latex condoms, sex toys and oral sex,” she said.
‘They are specially formulated for sexual activity and have much less risk when it comes to infection or irritation.’
‘Silicone-based lubricants are not recommended for sex toys as they break down the material.’
