NEW DELHI: Donald Trump is set to meet “fantastic” Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will visit the US on the 4th Quad top scheduled for September 21-23.
The meeting comes as Trump and Harris’ campaigns gain momentum ahead of November’s presidential election.
The Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday announced the agenda of Prime Minister Modi’s visit. However, it did not include a meeting between the two leaders. It said he is expected to interact with thought leaders and other key stakeholders involved in the bilateral India-US relationship.
During Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the US in 2019, he and Trump exchanged mutual praise at the “Howdy, Modi!” rally in Texas, which was attended by over 50,000 people.

Meanwhile, the press release said that India has agreed to host the Quad summit in 2025.
An earlier White House statement noted that the Biden-Harris administration has prioritized elevating and institutionalizing the Quad, starting with the first Quad Leaders Summit at the White House in 2021 and continuing with annual summits.

- Prime Minister Modi will address the Indian community in New York on September 22.
- On September 23, he will deliver a speech at the ‘Summit of the Future’ during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
- Prime Minister Modi will meet with CEOs of leading American companies to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in advanced technologies such as AI, quantum computing, semiconductors and biotechnology.
