Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies has revealed a clever hack to make a glitzy Christmas wreath using household items.

The 40-year-old shared one step-by-step video on her TikTok page, where she showed how to make a beautiful trinket reef at home.

She first started by grabbing a wire hanger and used pliers to loosen the hanger before stretching it and making a circle.

Sara says, “So I know you all have one of those at home, just an old white coat hanger.

“If you loosen the top and make it into a circle, I use my waist, it works wonderfully.”

She then got some baubles from B&M, which cost £2.50 for a pack of 20, while also suggesting people can use old baubles they already have.

Sara then “charged them” on the extended hanger to create “a Nice wreath shape.”

Once the wire is completely full of baubles so that it looks like a wreath and you are happy with it, twist the wire back to how it was before.

Sarah also suggested adding tape to make sure it doesn’t fall apart before adding a bow at the top to complete it.

She continues, “When you get to the top, all you have to do is wrap it back together and secure it in place with a small piece of electrician’s tape or whatever you need.

“A cute bow at the top, and oh my life, how fantastic do these look?

“I have to say this is already one of my favorite crafts this Christmas.

“It’s just beautiful, isn’t it?”

Her video was liked more than 74,000 times and many people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “I made a few during lockdown.

“I love them, I would advise gluing the baubles to their holders first if your baubles are cheap.

“They’re all starting to fall off.”

Another said: “What a clever idea, I think I might try this, thanks.”

While a third suggested: “My aunt does this every year but instead of baubles she uses wool to tie sweets onto and make a sweet wreath!

“Like the sweets from the party boxes and the quality street.”

Christmas fashion tips from an expert

CLEMMIE Fieldsend, fashion editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.

AVOID: Christmas sweaters
They are no longer a novelty, they have now become boring again and do not belong at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Sweater Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.

WEAR: Burgundy
At this time of year you can’t avoid burgundy and it is a luxurious, deep and rich color that is a welcome change from the Christmas red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.

AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather-trimmed combination sets has had its day and is so dated.
This year, don’t break out your hair-plucked pair and buy a new set, instead, still go for the satin two-piece, but stay away from the plumes.

WEAR: Sequin dress
Try changing up the sequins a bit by wearing them with a different texture or color, for example a sequin skirt with a tight knit.
But if you really don’t know what to wear, reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.

AVOID: Sequin blazer
There’s nothing worse than showing up to a festive gig that looks like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and strict judges, but always opt for a classic tuxedo style or velvet instead.

WEAR: Bling pants
Last season, embellished jeans with diamond bling were having a moment, and this year they’re going to be just as big a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging everywhere, try metallic PU pants.
