Drake was in attendance when the Miami Heat defeated the Atlanta Bucks at the FTX Arena in Miami on Friday night.

The 35-year-old was joined during the match by his friend, music manager Simon Gebrelul, and was later seen celebrating the home team victory with the likes of Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry.

The artist’s outing comes not long after he asked for his nominations to be completely withdrawn from the upcoming Grammy Awards.

Drake wore a short-sleeved shirt with zebra print and buttons as he spent time at the sporting event.

The Forever rapper contrasted the lighter hues of his top with jet black, figure-hugging pants.

The Grammy-winning hitmaker also donned a stylish set of stark white sneakers while enjoying the game.

He added numerous elements of shine to his outfit with various sparkly jewelry.

Drake’s most recent musical output came on rapper Gunna’s song P Power, on which he played a feature verse.

The song was originally going to be released on the artist’s album DS4EVER, which debuted last Friday.

It was later revealed that the song had been removed from the record, which surprised many of the rapper’s fans.

P Power was eventually included on an alternate version of the album, titled Drip Season Forever.

The reasons of the artist for his actions have not been made known to the public since then.

The hitmaker’s representatives also did not immediately comment when asked by the media outlet.

Drake previously defended The Weeknd when his friend was rejected by the Recording Academy in 2020.

The artist shared a lengthy post on his Instagram account in which he stated via Variety that artists should not take the Grammys very seriously in terms of artistic validity.

“I think we need to stop being shocked every year at the discrepancy between impactful music and these awards,” he wrote.

The artist also encouraged his fans to “just accept that what was once the highest form of recognition may no longer matter to the artists who exist now and those to come.”

Drake concluded his message by writing that a new form of award ceremony should be started with the intention of inspiring future artists and fans.
