  • In the hilarious clip, a professor calls to ask for police help for a bathroom key
  • The police smell alcohol on her breath and try to get her to call a driver
  • The professor refuses and gives a hilarious reason why she doesn’t need help

A Kent State University president was painfully arrested after calling police to use the restroom.

Dr. Ellen Glickman is a principal and professor at Kent State University’s School of Health Sciences and has been with the school since 1995.

On May 9, around 10:30 p.m., Glickman was filmed by a police bodycam outside Nixson Hall, home to her department.

She explained that she had just come back from graduation at school and couldn’t find the right key, despite claiming she had a master key to use the restroom.

The officer eventually says on video that he will not allow her to drive back because of the smell of alcohol.

She protests and says the only reason she couldn’t get her card in is because the card didn’t work. He says she’s scanning two cards at once.

“I’ve been drinking,” she replies, emphasizing the singular and adding that “you smell a little alcohol on me, that’s fine.”

He lets Glickman go inside to relieve herself and waits for her to return. He asks if she has anyone she can call.

Glickman says her husband won’t do it, but says she won’t, adding, “This is not okay,” before coming up with an unbelievable excuse for why she could drive herself.

“I can drive just fine, I have a Tesla,” she says.

The officer responds, bewildered, that the Tesla still needs someone to drive, before Glickman threatens to call his captain.

Later, after Glickman goes to the restroom, she continues to threaten to report the officer, to which he simply says, “That’s fine.”

Another officer arrives and the original officer tells him how funny the situation is.

Eventually, Glickman breaks free and continues to protest as the officer begins to explain why she can’t.

She starts leading them through the office and at one point, so angry, she says, “You guys have been kidding me!”

Eventually, the two officers detain her as Glickman finally promises to call her husband. The arresting officer can be heard saying, “Too late.”

Glickman complains for most of the ride and threatens to call the officer’s commanding officer again.

Ultimately, she is detained despite her protests.

Glickman was charged with being drunk and causing harm, in short, for causing a disorderly conduct.

It is unclear whether she was punished by the university where she worked for almost thirty years.

“We are aware of this incident. We do not comment on personnel matters,” a university spokesperson told DailyMail.com.

DailyMail.com has contacted Dr. Glickman for comment.
