PRIMARK is known for its stylish items that bear striking resemblance to designer models.
And the high street chain has delivered another smash hit in the form of a £12 summer bag that’ll look perfect on the beach.
As she showed it off in store, a staff member at Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street branch said: “Dupe alert. Everyday bag is only £12.”
The bag in question is a cream-colored Medium Canvas Tote Bag with a brown leather trim and handles.
Primark bosses say: “Upgrade your all-round capabilities with our chic canvas bag, featuring a soft yet structured design in a stylish two-tone cream and brown colourway!
“Perfectly versatile, featuring small sturdy handles for a classic look and a detachable shoulder strap for convenient hands-free transport.
“Whether you’re headed to the market, the office or a weekend away, this bag combines functionality with effortless elegance.
“The durable canvas construction ensures you can fit all your gear while maintaining a sleek shape.
“Make this your go-to bag for any occasion, combining functionality and timeless style!”
And savvy shoppers will notice that this is the perfect imitation of Chloe’s £950 medium Woody bag.
The designer bag is made of impact-resistant linen canvas and is finished with shiny calf leather strips.
The bag is described as a “spacious bag with a summery look” and has a spacious inner compartment with a practical flat storage compartment.
The bag’s modern lines are accentuated by contrasting vertical leather stripes and the signature Chloé logo ribbon. Carry this tote bag comfortably over the shoulder.
The only difference between the two? A cool £938.
If you’re on a budget, your best bet is to head to your nearest Primark.
And while you’re in the store, you’ll notice that the cowgirl trend is back in full force.
Led by proud “horse girl” Bella Hadid and cemented into the mainstream by Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter era, everyone’s after western boots and a saddlebag.
However, you don’t have to pay designer prices to get in on the style.
Of course it would be nice to own the Gucci Horsebit 1955 Mini Rounded Bag.
But at £2,290 each, it’s probably a distant dream for most of us.
Luckily, Primark has come to the rescue with their brand new collection of cowgirl bags.
The new light and dark brown beige saddlebags are very similar in style to Gucci’s luxury items.
Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?
HOW does Primark do it? Keep delivering on-trend items at such unbelievable prices? According to bosses, it comes down to four things.
- They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to them they can save by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
- They “do very little advertising”
- Although their clothes represent the “latest trends”, “they do not use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
- And finally, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores.” This includes things like “asking suppliers to package our t-shirts so they can go straight on the shelves.”

Like the Italian fashion house’s bags, they come with a metal clasp and a shoulder strap, all for the cool price of £12.
One suede design, in chestnut or chocolate brown, is compared to the Yves Saint Laurent Le 5 À 7 Supple Large in suede.
Primark hasn’t revealed the price of the shoulder bag yet, but we can guarantee it’ll be considerably less than the £2,300 that YSL is selling for.
The fast fashion brand joked that the new bags allow you to “let the cowgirl trend be your entire personality.”
