KOLKATA: Enforcement Directorate has reinstated answer sheets by medical examinationscopies of government tenders and various other documents from the residence of the former director of RG Kar Medical College Sandip Ghosh‘s sister-in-law, sources revealed. The agency had conducted a search there, along with a few other locations, on September 6.
Young doctors claimed that Ghosh used to be a connection involved in giving better grades to students in exchange for money. They also claimed that deserving students scored low on college exams while some did exceptionally well. They alleged that the nexus manipulated answers and leaked questions in lieu of money.
On September 6, the ED conducted a house search at Ghosh‘s in-laws’ residence in Chandernagore. When they came out of Ghosh’s sister-in-law’s residence, officials were seen carrying a black trolley bag. According to sources, the bag contained nearly 200 pages of answer sheets.
ED officials are likely to question Ghosh’s parents, who are in New Delhi. They are likely to arrive in Kolkata on Friday.
