‘Elegant and Poetic’: Prime Video has a 10/10 drama series that critics loved and it is time for more people to be aware of it

Prime videoThe new romantic drama of the Australian World War two has enthusiastic critics, but it seems that the audience still continues to discover the epic show.

Both beautiful and brutal, hit the Dorrigo’s love affair series with the wife of his uncle Amy (Odessa Young) pre -war and how that love continues and chases him both during his uncompromising time in a Burmese power camp. Later in life, Dorrigo is a respected surgeon and war hero who struggles with spirits from his past and he feels the guilt about both the affair and as a survivor of one of the most brutal theaters of the Second World War.
Based on the novel of the same name by Richard Flanagan, the show unfolds over five moving episodes and jumps between the three timelines to tell a complicated woven story anchored by excellent versions of Elordi and Hinds, which sometimes makes love so brutally painful as war.
What do the critics say about the narrow road to the deep north?
With a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, it is no surprise that the critical reaction is glowing. The guardian The show called ‘elegant and poetic’ while praising the two complementary portraits of Dorrigo of the two protagonists and said that both ‘really feel like different reflections of the same person’.
