Emma Raducanu burst into tears after a heavily fought Comeback victory in the Eastbourne Open.
The Brit saw Ann Li 6-7 6-3 6-1 in a long first round battle.
Raducanu sealed the victory with a brilliant backhand winner and dropped her racket into relief.
She immediately burst into tears when she looked at her coach Mark Petchey in delight and walked to shake the hand of her American opponent on the net.
An emotional Raducanu said during her interview on the field: “It was incredible, I just want to thank the crowd for enduring some truly sticky moments.
“It really meant a lot to me and I am so proud of how I fought back after I lost the first set.
“Ann hit winners everywhere and it was clearly very windy.
“I am very, very happy that I experienced that today.
“It was tough, it was up and down, but from the middle of the second set I found an extra level.”
Raducanu, 22, who is on the eighth coach of her career, said that “very well” goes with Petchey in her box.
She is confronted with Maya Joint in the next round in Eastbourne.
