Engadine stabbing: Police officer and several people treated for cuts in Sydney’s south

At least five people, including a police officer, have been injured in a horrific stabbing attack in Sydney’s south.

Emergency services rushed to Old Bush Road, just off the Princess Highway near Engadine, at around 9:15 a.m. on Sunday after reports of a multi-vehicle accident.

Several passengers in the cars were injured with stab wounds and a police officer was also stabbed.

One person suffered a cardiac arrest. A 40-year-old woman is among the passengers rushed to St George Hospital.

The alleged stabber is one of the people being treated at the scene by ambulance personnel.

The police are investigating.
