Despite being a big fan of Trump, the former independent presidential candidate has publicly denounced the Republican’s unhealthy eating habits.
During a recent interview on The Joe Polish Show, Kennedy openly criticized the Republican’s fast-food-based diet.
“The stuff he eats is really bad,” Kennedy revealed, adding that most of the president-elect’s food choices are filled with “poison.”
“Campaign food is always bad, but the food that ends up on that plane is just poison,” he said, adding that the only choice is Big Macs or KFC.
As part of his Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement, Kennedy has pledged to also crack down on foods with additives, pesticides and toxic chemicals – all of which are in McDonald’s items, including what was on his plate.
McDonald’s Big Macs are known to contain xanthan gum and dextrose.
Dextrose is often used as a sweetener additive for foods. It is a simple sugar made from corn or wheat that acts as a glucose or blood sugar leveler in the body.
It has been linked to liver abnormalities and can be especially dangerous in people who are at risk for or have diabetes because it can disrupt glucose levels and cause insulin resistance.

Insulin resistance causes the body’s cells to no longer respond to the hormone insulin, which regulates the amount of sugar in the blood. When sugar cannot enter cells and builds up in the blood, it can lead to type 2 diabetes.
Dextrose is used in several foods at McDonald’s, including the breakfast product Sausage McGriddle.
Xanthan gum is a common food additive known to cause gas and bloating, and despite being considered ‘completely safe’ for people to ingest, it can lead to digestive problems.
The MAGA group has surrendered to McDonald’s as the company continues to face backlash over a serious E. coli outbreak.
California-based Taylor Farms has recalled several batches of yellow onions after the FDA highlighted the vegetable as the “likely source of contamination.”
A man in Colorado has died, 10 have been hospitalized and 49 have fallen ill after eating McDonald’s Quarter Pounder burgers in multiple Mountain West states.
Taylor Farms said none of its products tested positive for the bacteria that kills up to a fifth of people who become ill, and that the recall was a precautionary measure.
Restaurants that have the onions in their refrigerators and storage areas have been advised to ‘destroy’ them immediately.
Near the end of his campaign trail, Trump stood behind the deep fryer of a McDonald’s in Philadelphia and manned the drive-thru in an attempt to undermine Kamala Harris.
“I’ve now worked 15 minutes more than Kamala,” Trump said after working at the fast-food restaurant, referring to his claim that his rival did not work as a student at McDonald’s as she says she did.
Video captured from the kitchen showed Trump, 78, handing out orders to a group of grateful, prearranged “customers” — Trump supporters said to have been pre-selected by his camp — who were there to watch the ex president served them food and told him why they will support him in the elections.
He was also seen dipping wire baskets of potatoes into sizzling hot oil before salting the fries and handing them out to customers.
One man, apparently accompanied by his wife, told Trump, 78, “You’re the type of person we want to be president of,” after thanking him for “everything you do.” His passenger added: “Thank you for taking the bullet for us.”
