Netflix’s content catalog may seem endless, but it’s about time that list gets trimmed down to make room for everything new to Netflix in August. As for everything leaving the platform, there are some brilliant movies that are set to be axed , but thankfully, there aren’t any TV shows disappearing this month.
From Oscar winner Everything Everywhere At Once (2022) for the entire Tobey Maguire Spider Man franchise – which was only added to Netflix in July as one of three big-name franchises with over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes – beloved Hollywood favorites are the main casualties in Netflix’s next wave of departures. It’s not the best feeling in the world to see your favorite movies leave the top streaming services, but Netflix always makes up for it by adding more titles, and August is packed with new original movies.
