Everything we know about Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the husband of Princess Beatrice
EDOARDO Mapelli Mozzi is the husband of Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice.
The couple announced they were expecting another child on October 1, 2024, with a photo of their growing family.
Edoardo is the founder of a real estate consultancy called Banda, which means “big shed” in Swahili.
He founded the company in 2007.
He specializes in discreetly sourcing and developing multi-million pound homes for wealthy clients.
Father of three
On October 1, 2024, it was revealed that Edoardo is expecting his third child – his second with wife Beatrice.
The couple’s first child was born on September 18, 2021.
The Palace announced: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are pleased to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:42 PM at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
“The baby weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces.
“The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted about the news.
“The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.”
The couple named their daughter Sienna Elizabeth in a touching nod to the Queen.
Edoardo also has a son named Christopher Woolf with his ex-fiancée Dara Huang.
Princess Beatrice is now a stepmother to young Christopher.
Love at first sight
It is believed the pair first met in September 2018, shortly before Beatrice’s sister Eugenie got married.
A friend told The Sun at the time: “Beatrice and Edo have the same circle of friends and were introduced through a mutual friend.
“We immediately clicked and we really laughed together. They went on holiday together and Beatrice introduced him to Fergie and her father.”
They added: “Everyone is happy that Bea is now so happy and in such a good place.”
Beatrice has been single since she split from her American boyfriend Dave Clark in 2016 after ten years together.
Royal wedding
As the daughter of Prince Andrew and granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo could have had a public royal wedding, as enjoyed by her younger sister Eugenie.
However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the ceremony was postponed until July 17, 2020.
Despite being moved, the couple decided to have a small ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Their wedding was attended by 20 guests, including the late Queen Prince Philip, her father Prince Andrew and mother Sarah Ferguson.
