It is a home in the making – But just like his partner expects to give birth to their baby daughter.

Wardley told Ring magazine: “This is a somewhat tense subject. My missus was not the happiest with this fighting date.

“She owes a week later, but it’s Portman Road. It’s not just a fight, it’s the one on Portman Road. She said,” Yes, I just know … “

“They say that the chances are that the first comes, but who knows.

“Whatever there will be will be at this stage. I am only concentrating at work at the moment and that is winning the fight.

“It’s a crazy 2025 and really just a crazy June, but I can’t wait. I am ready for paternity. My best partner does not have his, a beautiful little girl too long.

“So because I can see her grow and knowing that it comes for me, I made me a big softie to be honest.

“It will be something special and I am really looking forward to it.”

“What I mean is that when I am at home with her and my family, I will be as soft as everything, but as soon as it is training time, time fights, I will do the opposite.

“I believe it is still determined, even more driven, will make it more ending, because they are now trusting me.

“That little girl will trust and dependent on me. I have to go out and do my work.”

Wardley said: “Of course it comes with busy. But busy is a privilege. Being here is a privilege.

“Being able to fight here is a privilege and I think I have proven during my career that I am doing well under pressure.

“I like it. If the lights are clear when the opportunity is great, it is when you get the best of me.

“It is when you get the largest amount of heart, grit, determination, the largest amount of focus and I shoot at all cylinders.

“I am in the best place I have been. I now have so much experience in this professional game, from different fights up and down through the country.

“I fought in Riyad. I fought in Gibraltar. I fought in the UK, London, Sheffield, here, everywhere.

“Small Hall, York Hall. I have mixed it all. I have done it all now. Now it is all about bringing all that experience into one fight and that is what will happen on June 7.

“Only then will it be time to go back home to become a father.”
