In December last year, the duo revealed that they Almost frozen to death ‘in their Range Rover on Friday 13th.

The TV pair had been to a Christmas party at the start of the weekend, but went to social media in the hours that followed to reveal that they had stranded on the way back when their satnav failed.

A joint message on Facebook was: ‘How were you Friday the 13th? Let’s say ours wasn’t great …

‘Okay, stop: so you know we hate thirst traps. And we hate sympathy. You will never see us with our t *** in our undercrackers.

‘Of course we have dramas (just like other people), but we keep our things still. Normally….

‘So read this message, assured that it is here for one reason, and for only one reason: to profile – and gratitude – to an army of people who (last night) came our help in terrible circumstances.

“So what happened? Well, we almost frozen dead. Literal.’

The first I am a celebrity … Get me away here! Participants lost all the signal and ‘slid into a ditch’ without an option that would enable them to ask for help.

The post continued: ‘After attending a Christmas party in Nomi (in Harcourt) with our cabin Pals Amanda and Geoff, we left in the night to drive back to Haliburton.

“It was 10.30 pm. The weather, when we left Nomi, was completely fine, otherwise we would not have left.

“But then – out of nowhere – a storm landed. We lost the telephone signal around 10:45 PM … and then our GPS failed, in the bargain. We were completely lost, without going back.

‘A little later we slid into a ditch from which there was no escape. We were cleaved without a telephone signal. We could not ask for help and the temperature in our truck collapsed. ‘

The interior designers did not try and succeeded in activating Emergency on their vehicle several times in the SOS button and despite the fact that they became ‘as ice poles’, they were careful heating themselves with the engine.

The post continued: ‘Fyi – we have a SOS button Emergency in the truck, but it just would not activate. A few hours. At that moment we were as ice poles and we started to feel dizzy.

‘We have switched the engine on and out intermittently – to try to stay warm – but we were afraid that we would poison ourselves with carbon monoxide, although we had cleared the outlet. We are normally very practical. And not susceptible to drama. But omg, this was very scary. ‘

Eventually the SOS button kicked in it and indicated for help before they fell asleep, only to be awakened by voluntary firefighters and a police officer in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The post added: ‘Eventually the SOS button of our vehicle was finally activated and we were able to convey our need. But then we fell asleep, our truck almost completely buried in snow by that time. At 5.30 am we were awakened by real angels.

The couple wanted to repeat that they had not told the story for their own good, and they wanted to express their 'extreme gratitude' to those they saved

‘Three voluntary firefighters, two paramedics and an incredibly helpful agent named Josh were – fortunately – warned and sent by Range Rover to dig us out.

“After he was checked by the paramedics, Josh brought us safe home. The shit show was over by 7 o’clock. We were safe. ‘

But the couple wanted to repeat that they had not told the story for their own good, and they wanted to express their ‘extreme gratitude’ to those who saved them.

The post concluded: ‘So, as we said at the top of this long post, this is not a sympathy – we are fine. Absolutely.

‘This is not about us: it is a message that has been designed to show our extreme gratitude to those involved in our salvation. The three voluntary firefighters. Both paramedics. And Josh, our incredibly helpful agent, who ensured that we came home safely. ‘
