Fans delighted as popular chocolate treats returns to the shelves after more than a decade removed

White chocolate lovers everywhere are overjoyed that waiting is finally over.

After years of screaming, petitions and sweet supplications of fans throughout the country, Maltesers of Witte Chocolate officially make a triumphant return.

The cult favorite Snack, known for its white chocolate coating wrapped around the crispy center, will be back in the British stores from 16 June 2025.

This time it is available in Treat Bag, Single and Sharing Bag formats.

Originally launched in 2003, Maltesers of white chocolate immediately became a hit with chocolate lovers who were looking for something creamier.

But in a movement that bewildered fans, the product disappeared from the shelves in 2014, causing years of nostalgic desires and social media to start.

Dedications have never given up hope. Mars Wrigley, the company behind the beloved brand, says that it has since been flooded with requests.

Comments like “Bring white Maltesers back!” And “We all love Maltesers at our home – have you thought about making a white chocolate version?” Echoing has been on the internet for years.

Now the wishes of a loyal fan base have been granted.

In a nod to the growing popularity of white chocolate in the UK, Mars Wrigley has confirmed that the comeback have dreamed many.

A spokesperson for the confectionery giant said: ‘We are delighted to bring Malteser’s white chocolate back for the passionate fans who have been anticipating their return for years.

“Maltesers is all about encouraging people to look on the light side of life, and therefore definitely try if you’ve never done that before.”

The updated version remains faithful to what fans encouraged the first time – the characteristic maltty crunched in a silky chocolate peel.

It is sweet, light, nostalgic and, according to Mars Wigley, it is all that fans kept, but with a fresh glow-up.

The buzz around the return of the product has been built for months, with online petitions and social media campaigns that encourage the company to listen to the masses.

One X user stated: “Bring Maltesers of white chocolate back.”

Another fan revealed: “Last night had a dream that Maltesers were back from white chocolate and I bought a whole crate of it.”

A third said, “They have to return the white Maltesers, the world went downhill when they disappeared.”

One person wrote: “They really have to return the Maltesers of the white chocolate, they were great.”

For Non -Intachden, Maltesers are round balls of malted milk coated in a thin layer of chocolate.

They were first launched in 1937 by Forrest Mars Sr, an American entrepreneur whose sweet vision changed the chocolate world forever.

Initially released in the United Kingdom, Maltesers were originally marketed to ‘ladies’ diet’ as a lighter alternative to heavier chocolate bars – a smart little surf that helped them to turn into a concept.

Nowadays the modest Malteser has become a global phenomenon that fans in Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand win.

And although the original variety of milk chocolate remains a classic, the brand has not been removed from innovation in recent years.

In 2022, a dark chocolate version of Maltesers came on the market for praising reviews.

In the meantime, the Maltesers rabbits, often a seasonal favorite at Easter, have a dedicated following of their own -both individually and in mini -rabbits.

Yet it is the white chocolate version that has demonstrably inspired the most passionate supplications.

In 2017, a fan even launched a petition to bring them back, hoping to collect 2500 supporters to the business.

In March, 2024, the campaign had collected 1,637 signatures – not entirely the target, but clear enough to leave Mars Wigley upright and to become acquainted.

Whether you try your affair with the long -lost snack for the first time or it is trying for the first time, the return of the sweet treat will be a highlight of the summer snack season.
