Fans notice bizarre details in Andy Lee and his fiancée Rebecca Harding’s historic $8.5 million Melbourne mansion: ‘What’s going on there?’

Fans have noticed a bizarre detail in Andy Lee and his fiancée Rebecca Harding’s home renovation.

On Sunday, Rebecca, 34, gave her fans an update via Instagram about the renovation of their dilapidated mansion in Hawthorn, in Melbourne’s east.

The couple bought the property known as ‘Ravenswood’ – a dilapidated Melbourne River property built in 1876 – in 2022 for a whopping $8.5 million.

Since then, the duo have shared their renovation journey with their fans on social media, but the latest video of the construction has left viewers stunned.

“As you can see, a lot has changed since the last time we were here,” Rebecca said in the video as she gave a tour of the site.

However, an observant follower noticed something hanging on the wall that looked like Olympic rings.

“Olympic rings on the wall. What’s going on there?” they wrote, followed by a crying, laughing emoji.

While no explanation was given for the symbol, other followers were excited when Rebecca gave a detailed tour of the main entrance, showing off the impressive circular driveway and plans for a stunning spiral staircase.

“So invested in the progress of this renovation, this is not normal. There needs to be a big launch party at the end of it all!” said one commenter.

“We love the updates. A spiral staircase would look amazing,” another fan noted.

The post comes after Andy recently revealed why he waited 10 years to propose to Rebecca.

The Hundred presenter announced his engagement to Rebecca in May, but admitted he had been thinking about it for a while.

“Oh, I knew for a long time that I wanted to marry Bec,” he recently said in an issue of Stellar magazine.

“I don’t think I really started thinking about it until six, maybe eight months later. I think I knew for years.”

Andy said there was some pressure – and doubt – from his loved ones to get down on one knee.

“I got a mix of, ‘It’s about time,’ from people. And then every now and then, ‘Well, I thought you’d never do it.'”

In the joint interview, Rebecca admitted she wondered if it would ever happen and was “surprised” when the moment came.

“I mean, we’d been dating for 10 years, so I was like, maybe marriage isn’t for us. There was enough in our lives that I knew he was serious,” she told the magazine.

She added: “It’s such a nice feeling to know that someone has put so much effort into something, and you’re asking to spend the rest of your life with them.”

Andy shared the exciting news on an episode of his Hamish and Andy podcast on May 1st.

Speaking to his podcast co-host Hamish Blake, Andy shared intimate details about his proposal, before inviting his fiancée onto the show.

“I proposed to Bec on Sunday,” Andy announced.

Hamish said he was overjoyed and that he and his wife Zoe Foster Blake were both ‘crying’ with joy at the news.

“Is it a little fast? That’s all I’m asking,” he also joked.

Andy and Rebecca met in 2014 at a Melbourne cafe where she was working as a waitress.

The TV personality eventually left her his email address on a napkin, and the rest is history.
