Thanks to a fascinating size comparison tool for maps, users can overlay a map of one city on top of another, revealing that the city is actually larger than all the cities with famous skylines in America.
The tool, by www.mylifeelsewhere.comprovides for a fascinating geography lesson, with the feature also revealing that some world-famous cities – such as Paris and Sydney – are surprisingly small.
In fact, they are both being swallowed up by London and the major American metropolises.

London, including the 32 boroughs of Greater London, is approximately 1,572 km2 (606 sq mi) in area, making it about 1.3 times (or 29 percent) larger than Los Angeles, which covers 1,215 km2 (469 sq mi).
