Unlike other materials that can withstand water, suede can break quickly.

Water can remove the natural oils in suede, making it weak and causing the fabric to loosen over time.

Not only that, water can often cause the dye in suede to bleed, causing unsightly stains.

It’s a problem most of us have faced, causing us to throw away our favorite winter boots.

But one woman has come up with a clever way to make them look new again, even if they’re water-stained, so you don’t have to throw away the £145 boots.

Allie took to social media to show off her simple hack, which is completely free.

She said, “For my girls who are about to break out their old, water-stained Uggs, here’s a life hack before you run out and buy new ones.”

The fashion professional first showed off her Ugg boots, which had huge stains on the front, but she took out a nail file and started to gently scrub them.

Within minutes the stains were completely gone and her Uggs looked as good as new.

“I’ve done this too many times,” she captioned the post.

Fashion fans are going wild and ‘buying all three colours’ of new ‘drop of the season’ shoes from Primark – they’re so ‘comfortable and warm’

The clip quickly went viral on her TikTok account @alliegoalz with over 7 million views and 784,000 likes.

People were quick to reply and thank her for the hack, while others sobbed that they saw it too late and already threw away their Uggs.

One person wrote: “You’re kidding me, I just bought new ones.”

Another commented: “I literally threw mine away.”

How to look chic on a budget

Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger and beauty journalist Samantha Silver revealed how to spruce up your outfits without spending hundreds of pounds.

  1. Never spend money on designer denim: River Island ”always has such a great selection of fashion-forward jeans that follow current trends”. The retailer offers a range of sizes from UK 6 – UK 18 and three leg lengths – and prices start from an affordable £25.
  2. There are no rules for jewelry: ”Buy something at a car boot sale or charity shop, browse through Vinted and eBay, buy something from the clothes section in your local supermarket when you go to the food store or have a look in the big clothes stores.”
  3. Do not forget about the beloved sites: With an increasing number of second-hand sites, such as Vinted and Depop, there is no longer an excuse not to buy (or sell) second-hand clothing items. For example, Gemma managed to get her hands on some chic Chanel sunglasses for just £17.

“Thanks for sharing this! I never thought I would clean my Ugg boots like this,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “I just threw mine away,” with a crying emoji.

“You just saved my Uggs, thanks,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “You just saved my life.”
