Fashionistas are loving the new ‘autumn essential’ M&S bag that’s a dupe for £350 Cos buy
IF anyone knows how to perfect a modern capsule wardrobe, it’s Cos.
The mid-range fashion brand loves endlessly wearable style pieces that stay trendy year after year.
But what do you do when you have God’s taste but not God’s money?
Luckily, we can call on the reliable designers at Marks & Spencer.
The awesome British store has released a brand new Cos dupe ahead of autumn – and it’ll save you a whopping £305.
The £45 M&S Collection Quilted Shoulder Bag is an exact copy of the £350 Quilted Oversized Crossbody Bag from Cos in black leather.
“This shoulder bag is a statement choice with its striking quilted design,” said M&S bosses.
“It has a contemporary, slouchy silhouette and a zip closure to keep your belongings safe.
“Internal zip and slip pockets help keep you organized.”
Fashion lovers who have already got their hands on the bag have written rave reviews about it on the M&S website.
One says, “I love this bag.
“It’s a lovely soft material and it’s big, so you can fit a lot in it.
“And it looks very premium. I’ve had a lot of compliments from people who thought it was a designer product.”
Another says: “It’s a nice size and very soft, like soft leather, but stronger.
“It looks great and I’m going to use it a lot.”
Cos bosses realise that their quilted bag, which went viral on TikTok last fall as a “seasonal essential,” is a style icon.
Fabulous fashion editor on fall trends
WANT to look fabulous this season? Then listen up…
Clemmie Fieldsend, fashion editor at Fabulous, reveals that these are the top 5 trends from the hottest catwalk designers for fall 2024.
BOHO style: The boho revival is a much-needed refresh for fall and means you can wear your sheer tops, girly dresses and oversized jeans with chunky boots.
But if you don’t like the clothes, opt for bigger accessories like roomy bags, big earrings and even bigger bracelets.
TEXTURE: Whether it’s smooth leather, lush faux fur or soft suede, textures are everywhere this season.
They give your look more depth, making you stand out and look more expensive.
BURGUNDY: Chestnut brown, oxblood red, berry red: whatever you call it, red is all the rage this fall.
The deep, rich colour is present throughout and looks best with shades of grey, black, dark blue and from head to toe.
LADY LIKE: Matching tops, cardigans and pencil skirts may sound old-fashioned, but they are perfect for a feminine look.
Pair with satin cami dresses and fitted blazers for an ultra-feminine look.
LEOPARD PRINT: According to Tagwalk, 75% of the runway this season was leopard print – a clear majority.
It was already a trend that was on the rise last season, but now it is back in the fall and everywhere on the high streets. Whether it is shoes or coats that cover the floor, it is a must-have trend.
It is therefore logical that retailers such as M&S are trying to imitate the design, but at a lower price.
“This oversized version still has the signature soft, cloud-like texture and is designed to be worn across the body or over your shoulder,” they said of their £350 bag.
“And on one side there is a subtle zip pocket, so you always have your valuables at hand.
“It comes in a lasting black shade and will be the eye-catcher of your outfit no matter what you pair it with.”
