Fashionistas rush to TK Maxx to get their hands on a knock-off designer bag – that’s £310 cheaper
FASHION fans are rushing to TK Maxx to get their hands on a knock-off designer bag, which costs £310 cheaper than the real thing.
The retail chain, known for its ‘one hit wonders’, sells a light pink Tommy Bag with beads.
The bag, which costs £24.99, has been called “the most perfect summer bag and STAUD dupe” and is currently a hot commodity among fashion fans.
The TK Maxx item is a small, pink striped beaded bag with a number of different small cherries engraved into the design.
The comparison has a similar shape and design to those designed by STAUD and sold for around £335.
Since TK Maxx released the item, it has gone viral on TikTok, with many people filming themselves finding the bag in their local store.
TikTok account @thirteenthirtyoneewith the caption: “Look what we picked up at @TKMaxx this morning!!
“Isn’t this the most perfect summer bag and Staud dupe?”
Fashion fans gathered in the comments and praised the find.

Other shoppers are also sharing on TikTok how “obsessed” they are with their cherry wood finds.
Maya Dannie, who regularly shares fashion updates on her TikTok page, revealed how she was “obsessed with the viral cherry bag.”
Other fashion fans responded with videos showing them hunting for the model and “searching everywhere.”
A retail expert previously revealed four tricks TK Maxx uses to make you spend more and how to avoid it.
According to Tom Church, a shopping expert and co-founder of latestdeals.co.uk, TK Maxx uses a number of tricks to ensure you spend your hard-earned cash.
Shoes in the back of the store
Tom claims that the retailer knows that they are one of the most popular stores when it comes to buying shoes.
That’s why they place them at the back of the store, hoping you’ll find other products along the way.
Tom said, “It’s similar to the way supermarkets put eggs and bread at the back of the store.”
Aisles at the checkout counters
TK Maxx is known for having products that line up wherever you stand in line to pay for your groceries.
According to Tom, he is trying to entice you to spend more and possibly buy more products you weren’t looking for.
Tom said, “On the way to the checkout you walk through a small zigzagging aisle full of cheap items.
“These usually cost less than £5, and are often consumables such as sweets, chocolate and coffee. Things to tempt you.
“There will also be little beauty items, soft drinks, hand sanitizers. ‘Oh, I’m going to get those’ is exactly what they’re after.”
How does TK Maxx Designer sell cheap?
- TK Maxx follows an off-price business model to get designer products cheaply
- It buys goods from various brands and designers at a discount and then sells them to customers at prices lower than traditional stores.
- The range in the points of sale often consists of surplus items, items from last season and items from cancelled orders.
- The Gold Label is a premium collection of designer and luxury products from TK Maxx.
- If you like branded clothing, this is the label to look out for.
Labels tricks
TK Maxx also have ‘secret’ symbols on their labels and they often put yellow and red stickers on products when they offer further discounts.
Each label also contains a numerical code.
If there is a “1” it means the clothing was made specifically for the retailer.
These items can also be designer branded, so when you think you are getting a bargain, the product is actually made for TK Maxx and not for other stores.
Tom said: “These aren’t normally good bargains and it’s a ploy by TK Maxx to get you to spend more money.”
