First look at the new Grinch cafe opened in Glasgow Primark
A FESTIVE new Grinch cafe has opened at a Primark in Glasgow.
The green, Christmas-hating monster has now become an indispensable part of this time of year.
And fans of the wicked seasonal treat can now enjoy a tasty lunch in the themed restaurant.
Opened in Braehead, just outside the citythe cafe is decorated with Grinch goodness everywhere.
There are cute illustrations in traditional red and green throughout the cafe, which is located within the Primark store.
And the menu also has a Grinch theme.
Some of the highlights include, Holiday Cheer – a waffle topped with chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate orange pieces and popping candies – along with a festive Toast packed with turkey, brie and cranberry.
Meanwhile, there are milkshakes for every taste. From the classic Grinch shake, a green peppermint drink with white chocolate sauce, whipped cream, candy cane, strawberry sauce and Love heartsto a Who juice, a maple shake with pumpkin spice sauce, fudge pieces, whipped cream and gingerbread.
There are also Christmas-themed iced lattes and hot chocolate on the menu.
And for children who behave better than the Grinch – and hope to be there Nice list this year – there is a mailbox where you can send a letter to Santa.
Primark fans are loving the makeover, which sees the Grinch-themed cafe take over from a Shrek eatery.
One said: “I have to go here!”
Another said: “We’re going to Braehead asap.”
And a third said: “OMG, slay – I loved Shrek’s too.”
The Grinch was created by children‘s author Dr. Seuss in How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, first published in 1957.
The book has been adapted many times, first as an animated film from 1966 TV film narrated by Boris Karloff.
A 2000 live-action film saw Jim Carrey hilariously take on the role, while a popular animated film version was released in 2018, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the green menace.
