Flight attendant gives stern warning to airline passengers who drink at airport before boarding
- A flight attendant has begged passengers not to eat too much in the terminal
- “Please don’t make it noticeable when you get on the plane,” she reasoned
- She wants to explain that legally she is not allowed to admit passengers who are visibly drunk.
A flight attendant has issued a stark warning to airline passengers who have a penchant for pre-travel drinks at the airport before boarding the plane.
The employee, who works with a major US airline, made a plea via TikTok to those who might be tempted to indulge in too many drinks in the terminal.
“This is a PSA for anyone who likes to drink at the airport,” she began.
‘Please don’t let it stand out when you get on the plane. I don’t want to kick you out. You don’t want to be made a fool of. You don’t want to miss your flight.
“It’s a victory for both of us,” the frequent flyer pleaded.

“Don’t make it too obvious. Don’t be stupid,” she preached. “If you can’t handle alcohol, try figuring it out.
‘Don’t get drunk, because we are legally obliged to kick you off the plane if you look drunk.
“It’s not me, like I’m a buzzkill. Okay?’ she concluded.
It is an international industry standard not to allow visibly intoxicated passengers on board aircraft.
And the US federal aviation regulations specifythat airlines “should not allow any person to board an aircraft if that person appears to be intoxicated.”
Drunk passengers who cause sufficient disruption on board a flight may face consequences ranging from fines to a ban on flying on the airline in question in the future.
It is also important to keep in mind that higher altitudes can increase the effects of alcohol intoxication.
Dozens responded to TikTok’s comments, with some making light of airport drinking while others shared cautionary tales
In addition, drunken passengers have been known to harass or even attack cabin crew, and in the event of an emergency, they can pose an additional danger to themselves and others.
Dozens of people responded to the comments on TikTok. Some joked about drinking at the airport, while others shared cautionary tales.
“Imagine how drunk you must be for them to say, ‘You’re too drunk to sit down,’” one mused.
“I literally take my to-go cup filled with wine from the onboard lounge, lol,” another admitted.
“At 6:30 recently they had to carry a drunk lady off the plane while I waited for my flight – big yiks,” said a third.
‘I once had to help a woman get on her plane. She was drunk at the bar. She made it on the plane,” said a fourth.
In any case, the warning does not come out of the blue, given the numerous reports of drunk and aggressive travellers, many of which even make headlines.
Earlier this spring, DailyMail.com reported on a woman who got drunk in the Dallas-Fort Worth terminal after she was banned from boarding her flight to Colombia because she was visibly intoxicated.
She also allegedly assaulted at least one airline employee during the incident.
Before being removed from the airport, she verbally abused police officers and urinated on herself before being loaded into a police car.
And in May, a drunken Manchester fan was thrown off his plane as other passengers cheered him on.
