Chase Stegall, the son of former Cincinnati Bengals Wide receiver Milton Stegall, suddenly died at the age of 20.
Chase, an emerging collegial football player at Depaul University, unexpectedly died in his dormitory at the Lincoln Park campus of the university on Monday morning, according to the school newspaper, the Depaulia.
Rob Manuel, president of Chicago University, announced the heartbreaking news of Chase’s tragic death in a school-wide e-mail.
“Chase was known for its warmth, character strength and lively presence – qualities that affected the life of many both on and outside the field,” said Manuel. ‘His loss is deeply felt by his teammates, coaches, classmates, teachers, employees and everyone who knew him. We expand our sincere prayers and deepest sympathies for Chase’s family, friends and loved ones. ‘
No cause of death has yet been revealed.
Chase, a second -year student, was a midfielder for the Depaul men’s football team. Last season he played in 16 of the 17 matches of the school and registered one goal that encountered it Male -duck University.

Stegall’s coach, Mark Plotkin, and vice-president and director of Athletics Dewayne Peevy issued a joint explanation and described Chase as a ‘dedicated teammate and good-hearted friend’.
“We are deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of Chase Stegall, a cherished member of our community, dedicated teammate and good -hearted friend.” The moving statement was.

Chase is survived by his parents Milton and Darlene Stegall and his brother Collin.
Milton – ‘Spleen’ – played three seasons in the NFL as a broad receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals.
He signed with the Bengal as an unsigned free agent in 1992 after graduating at the University of Miami in Ohio.
After three seasons in Cincinnati, Spleen signed at the Green Bay Packers in free desk. However, he was never suitable for the packers when he was released at the end of the training camp after a serious knee injury.

After his short stint in the NFL, the Wideout went north and brought his trade to the Canadian Football League.
The 55-year-old signed in 1995 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and became an important member of the team.
He played with the bombers for 14 years and confirmed himself as a household name in the CFL before handing over his shoe plates in 2009.
He withdrew as the leading recipient of the CFL with a career total of 845 receptions, 15,153 receiving yards and 144 receiving touchdowns.
In 2012, Spleen was admitted to the CFL Hall of Fame and he is also an Inductee in the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame.
